Creative Converting

Creative Converting, a premium designer of party tableware and décor, called on RSI for move management and furniture coordination services. The move of 43 employees to their new 18,000 square-foot location began at noon on a Friday and concluded just two days later on a Sunday afternoon. A relocation like this required strategic pre-planning and a swift, efficient tear-down, move and rebuild.

Timing was critical, so RSI quickly took the company’s 19 existing cubes and coordinated a reconfigure into 12 larger cubes for the new building. Before the move, RSI helped to locate seven gently-used cubes with low panels for the design area and five additional used cubes for employees. RSI coordinated the move of all cubes, private office furniture and contents of each employee. Because Creative Converting has a large inventory of sample merchandise, RSI needed to relocate more than 80 display racks and pallets while keeping with the new facility’s elevator usage policy. This meant using the elevator only after 5:30 p.m. To adhere to the policy and meet the schedule challenge, movers began relocating pallets and display cases the Tuesday before the move, staging them in the dock area at the new location.

Weeks of planning culminated in a brisk and competent weekend relocation. Come Monday morning, it was business as usual at Creative Converting’s new home.
