Closure Systems International (CSI) is a leading supplier of closure and capping systems to the global beverage, food, pharmaceutical, automobile fluids and personal care industries. The company provides more than 70 billion closures worldwide annually.
When CSI had to move its global headquarters in Indianapolis, the company called on Relocation Strategies, Inc. Relocation Strategies coordinated the move management, furniture coordination, data cabling and phone service. The move affected 132 employees and settled them into the company’s new 34,000 square foot space.
Perhaps the most challenging part of this move was to conduct the relocation and reconfiguration in just ten days over the company’s holiday break. Between December 21 and December 30, Relocation Strategies worked to move CSI employees into 69 private offices, 63 cubes and 7 conference rooms. RSI coordinated schedules so that all vendors involved could be on site during the move and installations. As with every move it manages, Relocation Strategies paid careful attention to CSI’s budget. In conjunction with Duke Realty, the budget was established six months before the lease was signed. To come in under budget, Relocation Strategies re-used existing cubes and office furniture in all possible cases, and refurbished anything in need of repair. Instead of purchasing new desks and chairs for offices, Relocation Strategies located gently-used solid wood maple furniture to save money.
“We commend Relocation Strategies team members for their fantastic work during our recent move. RSI was an invaluable resource in making this move possible. We recognize and appreciate the extra effort, attention, creative problem solving and overtime RSI contributed to make this happen. Every move has its challenges, but this move was successful due to RSI’s involvement. CSI is very happy with its new headquarters. Should we need to make another move in the future, our first call will be to RSI.”
